WHO WE ARE

The Union of Veneto Chambers of Commerce, Brussels delegation, was established in 1996. It  brings together and represents the seven Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture of the Veneto region. It provides support for the Veneto stakeholders and it contributes to the internationalization of regional economy thanks to its participation in the policy making process both at regional and European level.

Unioncamere del Veneto participate to Enterprise Europe Network through the Friend Europe Consortium in order to support the SMEs and their innovation potential with advice, information and assistance on European issues

PROMOTING VENETO’S INTERESTS AT EUROPEAN LEVEL – THE ROLE OF THE BRUSSELS DELEGATION

The Union of Veneto Chambers of Commerce main activity is monitoring European policies in order to inform Veneto stakeholders about all relevant news. Thanks to these information, the economic operators can identify the most important opportunities and, consequently, they can make the best choices and develop the best solutions.

The Brussels delegation interact directly with European institutions and others relevant actors established in Brussels. This dialogue at the European level is important to take part in European transnational networks, trying to influence EU policies and gaining a voice in the European Union.

European integration has an increasingly impact on local and regional issues. As a consequence, the Brussels delegation has a crucial role to play in gathering and disseminating information.

The Brussels delegation works together with the Venice office (Eurosportello del Veneto). They mutually coordinate strategies and actions in order to remain still informed about the European and national reality. Both of them aims to promote Veneto Region and its peculiarities among European actors.

We promote lobbying activities creating dossier on priority issues, responding to EU consultations and  taking part to events. We support the coordination between all the representatives of Veneto Region in the EU Institutions (European Parliament, European Commission, Committee of the Regions and European Economic and Social Committee), fixing common strategies in order to enforce the role of our Region in the EU context. Moreover, the Brussels delegation building is close to the representation of the Veneto region so it is easier for them to cooperate and exchange information on areas of common interest.
